Submission Guidelines:
Videos must be original productions by students of WCCSE member schools. Non-member schools may enter this year's Video Expo ($35 registration fee per school).
***Competitive videos must be student-produced with adults acting as consultants only. Exposition videos may be adult-produced or collaborative.
THEME: All videos must show one of the following two themes:
1. "You don't know what you don't know" by Anne-Laure Le Cunff, writing on the Dunning-Kruger Effect
2. Share (This theme is open to broad interpretation.)
REQUIRED OBJECT - All videos must include a Book as a featured object or simply as a casual prop.
LENGTH - Video length must be at least 90 seconds but no longer than 3 minutes. Videos that do not meet the length guidelines may be entered as "Expo" but are not competitive.
GENRE – This is entirely up to you. Keep in mind that videos will be viewed in a school environment by an audience that will likely include young children.
ENTRY DIVISIONS – Videos may be submitted for exhibition OR competition. Either way, you must comply with copyright and Fair Use policies. Please see http://www.copyrightkids.org/

EXPOSITION - Videos submitted for exhibition may be parent/teacher-guided and/or wholly student produced.
COMPETITION - Awards TBD. Videos submitted for competition MUST be entirely student-produced.
Teachers/adults may act as actors and/or consultants but may NOT do any of the actual production work.
Two divisions: Grade 5 and under; and, Grades 6-8. (Combined grade levels enter upper group.)
Judging will be based on theme development, creativity, and technical quality.
NOTE: Strive for purposeful editing and use of effects, in order to best communicate your ideas.
FORMAT - All videos will be submitted online directly to the WCCSE Video Expo Youtube Channel. Details will be distributed along with the official registration form as the submission window opens. Email any questions to [email protected] .
LABEL YOUR VIDEO – Video identifying information must include title and student/group name in the credits. Do NOT list your school in the video credits. Any additional information can be provided by email.
DEADLINE - Video submissions must be received no later than April 26, 2024. Please register by April 5, 2024 to assist us with planning the program.
